Fedorchak applauds EPA proposal to repeal Clean Power Plan 2.0 and Mercury and Air Toxics Standards Rule
Washington D.C. — Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) released the following statement after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposal to repeal the burdensome Biden-era Power Plant Greenhouse Gas Rule ("Clean Power Plan 2.0") and the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) Rule.
"These rules were crushing North Dakota’s energy and power industry and to the cause of reliable, affordable power in our country. That’s why one of my first actions in Congress was urging the repeal of these and 18 other Biden rules that drove up costs, weakened national security, and threatened the reliability of our grid,” Fedorchak said. “Under the Trump administration, the EPA is charting a new course—one that supports the responsible development of the natural resources we’ve been blessed with for the good of the American people. I commend Administrator Zeldin for advancing a commonsense deregulation agenda and look forward to the full repeal of these rules—a big win for North Dakota energy and American manufacturing.”
