Fedorchak votes for transparency and justice for Epstein victims

November 18, 2025

Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) today voted in favor of H.R. 4405, legislation requiring the public release of all unclassified federal records related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

“Jeffrey Epstein’s victims deserve justice, and the American people deserve answers,” Fedorchak said. “Back in September, I supported and the House passed a resolution that immediately directed the Oversight Committee to investigate, obtain, and publicly release key documents tied to Epstein’s crimes. Because of that action, the Committee has released more than 65,000 pages of records and issued multiple subpoenas of key individuals. I voted for H.R. 4405 to build on this work and the pursuit of long-awaited transparency, accountability, and justice for these victims. After multiple administrations and Congresses have kept this case in darkness, today is another big step forward into the light.”

Today’s legislation, brought to the floor through a discharge petition led by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA), directs the Department of Justice to release the records within 30 days of enactment, which requires approval by the Senate and signature of the President. This includes:

  • Materials that relate to Ghislaine Maxwell,

  • Flight logs and travel records, and

  • Individuals named or referenced in connection with the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein.

Only narrow redactions are permitted to protect victims, remove child sexual abuse materials, or safeguard active investigations.

Today’s vote builds on Fedorchak’s earlier support for H. Res. 668, which directs the House Oversight Committee to obtain and publicly release key documents tied to Epstein’s crimes, detention, and death. That resolution—already in effect—includes a binding subpoena with the force of law and does not require Senate passage or presidential signature. So far, the Oversight Committee has:

  • Released 65,000 pages of documentation.

  • Released transcript of Bill Barr’s deposition.

  • Released the Acosta interview transcript.

  • Subpoenaed the Justice Department’s records.

  • Subpoenaed the Epstein Estates.

  • Subpoenaed Ghislaine Maxwell.

  • Subpoenaed Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The bill passed with broad bipartisan support in a 427-1 vote and now heads to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
