Fedorchak announces staff changes in D.C. and North Dakota

August 12, 2025

Bismarck, ND – Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) today announced staff changes in her Washington, D.C. and Fargo offices. Sadie Hanson, a Grand Forks native who has served as Staff Assistant in the D.C. office since January, is returning to North Dakota to become the Community Relations Representative based in Fargo. Replacing her in Washington is Zoe McKinven of Harvey, a recent North Dakota State University graduate who interned in the D.C. office this summer.

In her new role, Hanson will serve as Fedorchak’s frontline presence across eastern North Dakota—including Fargo, Grand Forks, and communities throughout the Red River Valley. She will help identify local priorities, inform policy decisions, and assist constituents in navigating federal agencies and services.

“Sadie has been an essential part of our team from day one—helping set up the office, build out systems, and keep things running smoothly from the start,” Fedorchak said. “She’s led our internship program, launched the Notable North Dakotan recognition, and brought a heart for service to everything she’s done. The work she'll do across the Red River Valley will help inform the decisions I make in Washington and ensure that local voices continue to shape national policy.”

“As someone deeply rooted in eastern North Dakota, it feels natural to return home and serve the people of the Red River Valley,” Hanson said. “After working in our D.C. office, I’m excited to bring that experience back to North Dakota. I’m looking forward to hitting the road, reconnecting with familiar faces, maintaining strong relationships, and building new ones along the way.”

In Washington, McKinven will support daily operations, manage front office communications, and help welcome North Dakotans visiting the Capitol.

“Zoe represents the best of North Dakota’s next generation of leaders, and I’m excited to have her join the team full-time,” Fedorchak said. “She’s proven her commitment to public service and brings energy, perspective, and small-town values to our D.C. office.”

“Growing up in a small town like Harvey taught me the value of hard work, community, and doing your part—and I’m proud to bring those values to Team Fedorchak,” McKinven said. “Spending the summer in Washington has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role and help serve North Dakotans from our nation’s capital.”
