After four years of runaway spending, record inflation, and growing government overreach, Americans are ready for a reset.

The One Big Beautiful Bill is that reset.

This legislation delivers historic tax relief—not for the rich or well-connected—but for working-class families, seniors on fixed incomes, farmers growing our food, law enforcement officers putting in overtime, and restaurant waitresses pulling double shifts to make ends meet.

These are the people who keep our country running. And they’re the people this bill helps first.

Those threatened by the reforms in this bill are demonizing it with falsehoods. They claim the bill cuts taxes for billionaires and slashes social programs. These claims are wrong.

This bill is about jumpstarting our economy, restoring opportunity, and helping people who work hard get ahead again.

At the heart of this bill is a simple principle: Americans should be able to keep more of what they earn.

We make the Trump tax cuts permanent—preventing the largest tax hike in American history. The policies in this bill are expected to raise take-home pay by as much as $13,300 per household and increase wages by as much as $11,600. For Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000, that means about 15 percent less in taxes. That’s real money that you earned, back in your pocket where it belongs.

For parents, we increase the Child Tax Credit to $2,500 per child and give families more tools to save and plan. For small businesses and family farms, we lock in tax relief that helps them invest, hire, and grow—without government getting in the way.

For seniors, we deliver the largest tax cut in a generation by establishing a new $4,000 deduction on top of the standard deduction for Social Security income for couples earning up to $150,000. Let’s finally give back to the people who’ve spent their lives building this country.

We also reward hard work by reducing federal taxes on tips (cash or credit) and overtime—sending a clear message to every server, shift worker, and factory hand: your work matters, and you deserve to keep more of your paycheck.

And we don’t stop at tax relief. The One Big Beautiful Bill secures the border, supports law enforcement, strengthens our military, and reins in the bloated bureaucracy that has made life harder for families, farmers, and job creators across the country.

Most importantly—it’s just the beginning.

This bill is about restoring common sense and accountability. It’s about realigning government to work for the people, not the other way around. It’s about keeping rural communities strong, rewarding hard work, and restoring the promise of America—starting right here in North Dakota.

I was proud to help move this bill forward, because North Dakotans—and Americans everywhere—are tired of waste, tired of overreach, and ready for results. They want a country where the economy grows because families are free to work, save, and build something real. They want policies that reflect their values, not Washington’s priorities.

That’s what this bill delivers.

It’s pro-family, pro-worker, pro-growth—and above all, pro-American.

The One Big Beautiful Bill turns the page on the last four years of weakness, disorder, and runaway federal spending and regulation, and begins to write a new chapter for America. This new beginning is focused on rebuilding our economy, as well as our trust in government and our belief in what’s possible.

This bill will help North Dakota—with our incredible natural resources, our pro-growth business climate, and our innovative mindset—continue to lead the way for America.
