On the House Floor

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) spoke on the House Floor this week to celebrate the retirement of Nancy Johnson, longtime Executive Director of the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association. For more than twenty years, Johnson has championed innovation, sustainability, and market growth for soybean producers across the state—helping North Dakota agriculture establish a stronger voice nationwide.

Below are her remarks as prepared for delivery:

Mr. Speaker,

I rise today to recognize and celebrate the retirement of Nancy Johnson, the longtime executive director of the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association.

For over two decades, Nancy has been a driving force in advancing North Dakota’s soybean industry.

Her leadership, strategic insight, and tireless advocacy have strengthened not only our state’s agricultural economy but also the national voice of soybean producers.

She brought people together—farmers, researchers, and policymakers—to promote innovation and sustainability in agriculture.

Nancy’s dedication has left a lasting mark on rural communities across our state.

On behalf of all North Dakotans, I thank Nancy for her remarkable service.

Her legacy will live on in the fields she fought for and the people she empowered.

We wish her all the best in retirement.

Mr. Speaker, I yield back.
