Dear Friend,

My first year as North Dakota’s Congresswoman is coming to a close. As I reflect on the whirlwind year, I’m encouraged by the substantial progress made on key issues like national security, tax reform, energy growth, regulatory reform, and reducing waste, fraud, and abuse. More than anything else, as a fourth-generation North Dakotan raising three fifth-generation North Dakotans in our state, I’m filled with appreciation for this incredible honor. And I’m energized to advance more good policy in 2026 to help make North Dakota and America stronger, safer, and more competitive.

Every mile traveled across North Dakota, every conversation with a constituent, and every day spent working on your behalf in Washington has reinforced why I came to Congress: to deliver results for the beautiful, hardworking, commonsense people who call this state home.

In Washington, that focus on practical results translated into real progress. I introduced 14 bills, three of which were signed into law—including the “Once In, Always In” Congressional Review Act, the Ending Intermittent Energy Subsidies Act, and a CRA to overturn the Biden administration’s land use plan that threatened coal production in our state. Two additional bills I introduced passed the House, and I cosponsored more than 50 others.

Just as important is the day-to-day work of helping North Dakotans navigate Washington. This year, my office completed 543 (and counting!) cases North Dakotans had with the federal government. We helped return more than $500,000 in taxes to North Dakotans. We held eight statewide Fedorchak Forums, office hours in eight communities, and 37 roundtables across the state. Good representation starts with listening.

This year brought important opportunities to put North Dakota on the national stage. Cabinet officials traveled to our state to see firsthand the energy production, agricultural innovation, and natural resources that help power our country. I also had the chance to build bipartisan relationships—even on the softball field—because progress often starts with trust and collaboration. Some of the most meaningful moments came when we welcomed hundreds of veterans to the U.S. Capitol through Honor Flights, thanking them in person for their service and sacrifice.

As we look ahead to 2026, our focus remains the same: living out our team’s mission every day. We measure our work by the Five R’s—Results, Responsiveness, Respect, Resourcefulness, and Resilience—and those principles will continue to guide everything we do.

I hope you enjoy this newsletter that summarizes the highlights of our work for you this past year. I’m deeply honored to serve you in Congress. I look forward to continuing to listen, lead, and deliver for North Dakota in the year ahead. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

My Best,
